OK you've just bought your first guitar, you've unpacked it and wiped it down and now your ready to start playing it.

Well actually no!

There are a couple of things you need to do first.

One of those, in fact arguably the most important is tuning your guitar, or in layman's terms tightening the strings to the point where they sound right.

But you won't magically know how to tune your guitar, this is something you need to learn how to do.

And even then once you've tuned your guitar, it won't stay like that, you'll probably have to tweak it every time your get it out and certainly if it hasn't been played for a while or if you've just replaced the strings.
